OUR HISTORY
Originally from England, Mr Charles Devenish arrived in Australia in 1959 via Calcutta with only 25 cents in his pocket, working his passage way as a mess boy on a Norwegian freighter. He then started his jewellery empire here in Perth, Western Australia, in 1963. It was his passion to have a jewellery house that offers exclusive and original pieces created here in Perth as well as sourcing exquisite jewels internationally.
In 1997, Mr. Devenish closed the doors of his elegant King Street premises to focus on other projects. Subsequently, in 1999, Charles Edward Jewellers was born again with a new Management and Sales team.
The new Managing Director, Mr. Edward Eramanis, has been in the jewellery and diamond business for over 30 years and was awarded an Honorary Ambassador from the Antwerp Diamond Council. Mr. Charles Devenish chose Edward Eramanis because of his dedication to the vision of Charles Edward to be one of Perth's leading jewellers.
